Grounds Maintenance

For many of our clients a grounds maintenance contract is the ideal solution. Our uniformed, knowledgeable staff ensure that amenity areas are maintained, weeded and tidied to the highest, professional standards.

We take a pro-active approach and report potential problems we come across on site so that they can be dealt with before they become an issue.

Damaged fences, dumped cars, missing manhole covers, trip hazards on paths, overhanging trees and overflowing drains are just a few of the things our teams come across regularly and are reported back to the property management company.

We will also provide 'Planting Schedules' advising of any replacement or additional planting that we feel would enhance the development. We also provide 'Replanting schemes' for areas that have passed their 'sell by date' and are looking tired and dull and in need of an uplift.

Tidy and well maintained grounds generate respect and encourage tenants to respect the area and keep it cleaner themselves. This also encourages them to pay their service charges!

Standard Site Specifications

Grassed Areas

• Remove all litter.
• Mow all grassed area's to a length suitable to ground conditions.
• All grass cuttings are to be removed from site.
• All edges to paths, borders, beds and at building line are strimmed to level of cut.
• Apply proprietary weed and feed to grassed areas when directed ensuring that the COSHH Requirements are met. (Can be included or charged separately as required)

Shrub Beds and Borders

• Remove all litter.
• Hand weed beds to remove large weeds.
• Hoe beds to remove weed seedlings.
• Apply appropriate proprietary weed killer ensuring that the COSHH requirements are met.
• Ensure beds are turned over regularly.
• Prune shrubs as needed.
• Edge all borders and maintain tree circles where appropriate.

Hedges

• Remove all litter.
• Trim all new growth as required to maintain neat line and definition at all times.
• Remove all cuttings from site.
• Advise when major pruning is required and quote accordingly
• Report and damage and quote to repair it.

Paths, Roadways and Parking Areas

• Remove all litter.
• Hand pull all large weeds and clear away.
• Apply appropriate proprietary weed killer ensuring that the COSHH requirements are met.
• Sweep all paths and kerb lines and remove debris from the site.
