Frequently asked questions
These are examples of the kind of questions we have been asked about our services and the results we achieve. If you have a query, which is not covered here, please call us direct on 0800 298 0027 or email us on we'll be happy to help.
Question: I would like to find out how you can help; what do I do now?
Answer: You can contact us by phone, fax, email or post and we will arrange for our design team to call and see you to discuss your requirements. This initial meeting is free of charge.
Question: What happens next?
Answer: If you like us and our ideas, our designer will take a full brief and draw up an initial presentation plan. He will present this to you and any changes you would like to make will be discussed, before drawing up a final plan. When you are happy with the final design, we will provide a detailed costing of the plan. The charge for this part of the process is deducted from the final fee, should you instruct us to complete the entire job.
Question: I already have a plan for my garden, would you be able to work from that?
Answer: Yes this is no problem. We will provide you with a full costing of your plan and always check the measurements by carrying out a site survey.
Question: How long will it take to carry out the work?
Answer: This depends entirely on the size of the job and the weather. We will give you a start date and an estimated completion date, which we will endeavour to adhere to. If there is any reason to alter these dates we will let you know why and give you a new date as soon as we can. Our own team of specialist staff will complete your design, although we will employ specialist outside contractors that have been vetted by us, when required (e.g. for electrical connections etc). We will start and finish your garden as one job and will not spend time elsewhere until we have finished.
Question: What and when do I have to pay?
Answer: The design fee is payable upon completion of the design process. We require 20% of the total construction fee to be paid when we start work with the balance, less the design fee (if applicable) invoiced on completion, with the full balance due 7 days from this date.
Question: I am a householder with a large, overgrown garden that needs to be completely re-designed. Do you provide this kind of service for householders?
Answer: Yes - from a general layout plan to a fully detailed working drawing. See our Design section.
Question: From where do you obtain your plants and shrubs?
Answer: We have mainly used the same local reputable wholesaler for many years, his stock is of the consistently high quality we demand. We will also source from other specialist nurseries, with quality always being of the highest importance.
